Introduction to setting up a smallholding Sunday 23rd August 2026

£100.00

***Course attendees will be emailed free copies of my planting plan, Growing Food eBook, and Smallholding eBook after booking***

Join me on my introduction to setting up a smallholding course. You’ll spend the day immersed in our smallholding, learning how to create a beautiful and productive homestead. Expect to leave bursting with inspiration, knowledge and enthusiasm!

On this course I will share everything we have done to set up our homestead. The course starts with an in-depth tour of the smallholding. You’ll see the vegetable gardens, greenhouses, orchard, chickens, ducks, pigs, coppice, willow beds & bees. During the tour I will explain how we built our animal housing, planted our hedging, erected our fencing, set up our water systems and how we care for our animals. I will also show you our workshop and indoor spaces and explain how we set these up. I’ll explain how we found our property and the financials of running a smallholding. There will also be free time to allow you free time to explore, take photos & write notes. This will be followed by a Q&A session at the end. Spaces are limited to 8 per day, which I find is a small enough number to make sure everyone gets the most out of the day.

Lunch will be provided - delicious treats from the garden!

Course attendees will be emailed free copies of my planting plan, Growing Food eBook, and Smallholding eBook to give you all the resources you need to start planning your smallholding.

I really look forward to welcoming you to Happy Smallholding!

This course runs from 10am-4pm.

Course location: Somerset, UK, near Bridgwater. Address will be shared on booking.
